My Story

I spent many years as a fitness instructor, classes instructor, personal trainer and nutritional advisor helping many people over the years reach their goals. I spent 15 years in the fitness industry before moving into the field of manual therapy.

Initially I started studying holistic massage therapy with I.T.E.C and quickly realised my true passion was in manual therapy. After qualifying in holistic massage I decided to gain more experience and knowledge in the field of injury. I studied at The Naional Training Center in Dublin and earned my qualification in Sports massage therapy, Neuromuscular Physical Therapy and Pre and Post event massage, under the amazing guidence of John Sharkey and his fantastic team of tutors.

I have always been fascinated with science and the human body. I felt this was the natural path I needed to take to further my effectiveness in this field. In 2018 I completed the NTC Fascial Manipulation Course, always curious, open minded to new concepts I felt something pull me towards committing to this course, always a student in the school of life my study cap was on again.

My Approach

Fascia is a band or sheet of connective tissue, primarily collagen, beneath the skin that attaches, stabilizes, encloses, and separates muscles and other internal organs.

Fascial Manipulation (FM) is an evidence-based manual therapy developed by Luis Stecco, a pysiotherapist from Northern Italy. It focuses on the myofascial system, in particular the deep muscular fascia.

Fascia Manipulation is a new paradigm in manual therapy, dealing with many muscular skeletal injuries in an acute onset stage or chronic injury state.

Nowadays science proposes the human body is a biotensegrity system three dimensional model.

Benefits of Fascial Manipulation. Restores fascia to its physiological state - Improves balance - Restores coordination - Increases joint mobility - Preventing injury - Increases flexibility - Increases awareness - Postural abnormalities - Acute and chronic pain reduction - Sports specific benefits - increases perception, awareness, periferal, improves motor skills.
